Cronin & Sutton Consulting was appointed by the Land Development Agency to provide civil, structural and traffic engineering services on the ongoing Devoy Barracks project. The c. 4.14 hectares former Army barracks site, is located on John Devoy Road, Naas, Co Kildare will provide a mix of 219 no. social and affordable A-rated residential units over a two-phase delivery.

The first phase of development will initially deliver 42 no. terraced houses and 56 no. duplex units, a total of 98 no. units, a 59-place childcare facility, and a green public open space to the west of the site, all ranging in height from two to five-storeys. Planning permission was obtained through the Strategic Housing Development (SHD) route. All of the three-bed houses will have gardens and solar panels while the apartments will feature balconies or terraces. On completion, this sustainability-driven development will include a total of 4,684 sq.m of communal open space, 314 car parking spaces, and 482 bicycle parking spaces.
